Apply for Support
We commit to standing with one child and one family for life—offering ongoing financial relief, coordinated care support, and advocacy so no family faces this journey alone.
If you’re in an urgent medical crisis or unsafe situation, please contact your local emergency services first.
Who This Is For
The Lillian Bijou Foundation exists to support families raising medically complex children. We understand the reality of this life—hospital stays, specialists, equipment, therapy schedules, financial strain, and the constant coordination it takes just to get through a week.
Our model is different: We do not spread thin. We go deep. We select one child and one family and commit long-term.
What Support Can Look Like
Financial Relief
- Medical travel costs (flights, fuel, hotels)
- Therapy support and equipment gaps
- Household relief during intense medical seasons
Coordinated Care Support
- Helping connect families to resources, specialists, or support networks
- Navigating systems that are overwhelming alone
Advocacy & Long-Term Partnership
- Standing with the family through changes in care needs
- Helping reduce isolation through consistent support
Important: Submitting an application does not guarantee selection. We carefully review each submission and may request additional information.
Eligibility
- Child is medically complex and requires ongoing specialized care
- Family demonstrates significant financial burden related to medical needs
- Family resides in the United States (or specify your service area if you prefer)
- Family is open to an ongoing relationship with the foundation
- Family is willing to provide documentation supporting medical and financial need (protected and confidential)
If you’re not sure if you qualify, apply anyway. If we can’t help directly, we’ll do our best to point you toward helpful resources.
How the Process Works
Step 1: Submit your application
Tell us about your child, your current care situation, and what support would make the biggest difference.
Step 2: Review + follow-up
Our board reviews applications. We may reach out to schedule a phone call and request documentation.
Step 3: Selection + support plan
If selected, we’ll develop a support plan with your family and begin building long-term partnership.
Timeline note: Selection windows and announcements will be shared publicly as we grow.
Your Privacy Matters
We handle all applications with care and confidentiality. We will never publicly share your child’s story, name, or medical details without your explicit written permission.
Family Application Form
When you’re ready, complete the application below. The more detail you can share, the better we can understand your needs.
